The Rhythm of Spring is found in each day, and throughout the year, and symbolizes renewal and growth. It is a time when the body's energy (Qi) rises, when vitality increases, and is a reflection of nature awakening after Winter's slumber. Spring rhythms are connected to liver and gallbladder energy (meridians) which support the flow of emotions and hormonal balance. Spring is also connected to the solar plexus chakra and holding true to our values, our personal power. As Spring pushes forward and this focused energy moves, energy bodywork and gentle movement through Qigong can assist in releasing imbalances and supporting the liver's function which is tied to the emotions of frustration, anger, impatience. By nurturing the body's energy through these practices, Spring becomes a time of Fresh Beginning, a new start: physically and emotionally. Watch the video to the right for a sound to reduce the energy of frustration and impatience. | |
